
Hitman’s day 4 patch hopes to fix the major problems with the game
It’s no secret that Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded has not released in the best state. In fact by all accounts it has been a disaster. I haven’t had the chance to finish the game yet but the graphical issues are unbelievable for a major release.
However XR Games has finally released the details for their first major patch of the game. The patch should be rolling out today, hopefully it helps bring the game up to a better standard, but to be honest there is a lot of work to do to get it there.
Major Additions and Changes
- Enhanced LOD popping (world elements now appear from greater distances).
- Introduced a stabilizer for the sniper rifle when aiming down sights.
- Increased crowd sizes and improved cull distances.
- Fixed agency pickup in Dartmoor Library.
Small Tweaks
- Adjusted lighting for better balance in darker areas.
- Brightened the Data Core Chamber area [Chongqing].
- Brightened outdoor areas [Final Test].
- Gun is no longer visible in the left hand while dragging bodies.
- Improved grip alignment for various sword-type weapons.
- Reduced animation issues for distant NPCs and crowds.
Fixes
- Corrected occlusion across all levels to fix flickering, floating, and invisible environment issues.
- Fixed asset issues like Z-fighting and gaps in environments.
- Patched holes in terrain and addressed floating assets.
- Resolved bike clipping issue [Berlin].
- ‘Yuzhong Square’ Neon sign now renders correctly [Chongqing].
- Microphone asset in the Asado now displays [Mendoza].
- Enhanced textures across all levels.
- Added water textures to the Carpathian Mountains.
- Fixed bullet texture display when shooting while flashbanged.
- VR pointers no longer appear behind the UI in certain settings.
- Fixed potential crash when exiting to the main menu during a cinematic.
- Cinematics now play when selecting Mendoza and Chongqing for the first time.
- Window frame assets now display correctly in both eyes from mid-to-far distances.
- Players can no longer see held items during the “Dance with Diana” mission exit [Mendoza].
- Completing “The Final Test” now triggers the “Call Me 47” cutscene.
- Resolved environment clipping through the train floor [Carpathian Mountains].
- Selecting ‘Continue Story’ after completing a mission from a loaded save now plays the cinematic.
- Adjusted light emission and visual effects across all levels.
- Corrected smoke VFX for the Antique Cannon [Mendoza].
- Torches now emit correct light [Berlin].
- Improved visual effects for water bottle explosions.
- Added water effects to the fountain [Dubai].
- Loading screen graphics no longer appear tilted or at the wrong height when the HMD is tilted before loading.
