An update for the Apple Vision Pro is coming soon
Apple has announced that visionOS 2, the first major update for the Apple Vision Pro headset, will be available on Monday, September 16.
This update introduces new hand gestures for accessing Home View and Control Center, and it will save Guest User profiles for up to 30 days, making it easier to share the device without needing to repeat the setup process.
A standout feature of visionOS 2 is the ability to convert 2D photos into 3D images using machine learning, allowing users to view their entire photo library in 3D on the Apple Vision Pro.
Later in the year, an additional update to visionOS 2 will enhance Mac Virtual Display, supporting higher resolution and larger virtual displays, equivalent to two 4K monitors side by side.
